Crossfire victims

By Uma Sudhir

Yet another abduction of policemen by Maoists, this time in Chhattisgarh. Desperate families, who travelled to Hyderabad did manage to meet Varavara Rao later in the evening. But will his appeal work?

    Dear Uma/ Tss,

Please allow me a quick expression of sentiments, while I am still mulling on other issues :

It is time, some one takes seriously, steps needed for BREAKING this vicious cycle. Generations, would go on, fire, can only spread fire.

Some one in India, please do not dismiss me as complete stupidity. Please allow me, to repeat a comment from an earlier post :

“…This is a seemingly impossible task of breaking the vicious cycle of violence and deprived development. Ground reality, assumes a strikingly gloomy literal meaning, given the land mine network. Hence, I am prepared to accept, a solution I have arrived at, to be a possibly arm-chair unrealistic romantic one…but yet I mention : Indian development, is city-centric….So let an All-Party national commission, build, with the support of Army and its Intelligence, build a new town in the middle of the forest….Facing some environmental issues, is better than attempting something. Let there be constant focus of National media on this….”
