Big brother wasn’t watching

By Uma Sudhir

An 11-month-old baby boy, Ajay was stolen from a Hyderabad hospital, allegedly by a woman wearing a burqa on Tuesday.

Ironically this happened even though Niloufer Hospital, Andhra Pradesh’s premier children’s hospital installed 16 security cameras just hours before the baby was stolen. However, none of the cameras picked up the theft.

Why? The police says that only 7 of the cameras were working, and they too were poorly placed so the theft was not recorded.
