More than a storm in a T-cup

Andhra Pradesh is unlikely to forget its 54th birthday in a hurry. The celebrations were muted and the main official event at Hyderabad’s NTR stadium was a heavily fortified affair, with the police out to make sure, no protestors came anywhere near the VIPs.

Those Telangana ministers and MLAs who took part in the government functions found their homes targetted by Telangana activists. Some others hoisted black flags, released black pigeons and balloons in more Gandhian ways of protest.

With just two months to go for Srikrishna committee to submit its report, the Telangana pot is beginning to boil over, once again.
